The M3 fighting knife was issued in the M8 scabbard. The first version had no Model 1910 belt hook, just a web loop to slide onto the pistol belt. Later versions, like this one, had the M1910 hanger.

Some of these were made from cut down M1905 16 inch bayonet scabbards.

These were also used to carry the M1 Carbine Bayonet.

Subsequent modifications caused these to be redesignated and marked M8A1. This however is marked M8

These are very hard to find on the loose, especially when you have a loose blade.
