Matsushita Kinzoku (Matsushita Metals) Type 30 bayonet with straight guard and rare metal-banded last ditch scabbard.

This bayonet will fit all Japanese Arisaka rifles regardless of caliber.

Last Ditch bayonets were made in late 1944 and in 1945. They exemplified the desperate blockade of Japan which lead to the lack of steel sufficient to manufacture metal bayonet scabbards. Instead, wooden scabbards with metal throats and tips, secured with glue and string, were used. Somewhere painted green others were left with just a stain
