This is a nice pair of World War II captured Japanese special naval landing force, wool, wrap up leggings.
Until 1945, Japanese navy leggings had a white cloth label sewn to each legging. Army leggings had a black stamp.
The white Navy label indicated the depot where the leggings were made, the year of manufacture, the year of issue, the name and the service number of the sailor to whom they were issued.
They came either with a cotton web tape or a cotton poplin tape. This tape could be either green, khaki, or black. The web or poplin tape wrapped in a X pattern on the outside of the legging to better secure it.
The date of manufacture on this label is illegible but his name and service number are present. Regardless, the label, wool, cotton tape & edge stitching are entirely consistent with a pair we have which are dated Showa 13 (1938).
This is one of the few pieces of Japanese naval landing force material that did not change dramatically during the war. As a result, they will work with whatever year your display requires.
Some expected wear adjacent to the boot top consistent with a battlefield pickup vs captured stores.
