Here is a fantastic, 1944 dated, Japanese naval landing force, base force or defense force tunic.

It has the rate of a semen third class from the engineering department.

On the interior, the Navy stamp Indicates it was manufactured at the Second Naval Supply Depot in September 1944 and is size 1 (large). The sailor’s name is present.

The tunic has all brass buttons. By 1945 these were made only with wooden buttons.

It was made from cotton.

The color is green, which was the prescribed color for naval shore-based uniforms.

Measures to about size 38.
