This is a pair of World War II Japanese naval ground force leggings.

The body is made of green wool with green cotton wrap up ties.

These are the early version with a white cotton label, indicating the were made at the Yokosuka Naval Depot.

Other fields in the label are for the year and month of manufacture (Showa 12 -1937 August) year and month of issue (blank) the sailor’s name (Kimura Akira), Service number, unit (? department) etc..

These have the Kanji character 木 (short for Kimura) hand stitched into each end.  The is the same surname on the white label.

The year of issue dates are not visible having faded overtime. Therefore, you could use this for any time during World War II from 1937 on.
