This is a WW2 Japanese leather belt for carrying two frontal ammunition pouches, a rear ammunition pouch and a Type 30 Arisaka bayonet and bayonet frog.
It has a brass buckle with single brass prong.
The design of this belt changed very little over the decades between the Russo Japanese War and WW2.
Major changes included the type of leather, a switch to rubberized canvas; plus materials used for the buckle (brass to steel) etc.
Stitching is sound & the leather is supple and not dried out, stiff and crazed.
Markings were typically a black rubber stamp on the inside, left. However, with a little use, they fade away.
These left the factory a russet color but darkened with applied oil and/or prolonged wear in wet weather. This one is still russet color.
These were made long, here 41 3/4 inches, so that they could be worn with winter clothing, including parkas.
