This is a nice heavy duty printed Army Rising Sun Flag. The Army put the sun in the very center of the flag. The Navy had an offset sun.

Measures about 4 feet x 3 feet which is about proper for a Company, Battalion or Regimental size flag of the size carried by a standard bearer.

These make great backdrops for Japanese WW2 displays since the flag is so iconic.

Instead of the common  tie strings, this one has thick cotton halyards, both of which are present. Moreover the halyard side has a reinforced cotton edge as you can see.
