This is a pair of World War II Japanese anti-mosquito mittens with the 31 inch neck cord. The cord passes through the loop at the interior neck of the tunic and through the sleeves. This way these important gloves never get lost and the soldier stays buttoned up, in his tunic, against malaria.

These would be worn in the tropics to prevent malaria.

These are dated Showa 14 which is 1939.

These are Profusely marked.
