An extremely rare lot of three WW2 Japanese Army items all named to the same soldier!
You get his reserve ID, training & rules book; his active duty ID, training & rules book and his issue personal documents ditty bag.
The book with the Star is the type issued to all IJA enlisted men upon entry in the Army. The first half are printed rules and regulations.
Following this is data on the soldier including rank, date and place of birth etc.
The rest are entries regarding training and unit assignments.
This one has a great deal of entries as you can see.
The soldiers name, is on the exterior and interior.
The light green book is for hos reserve time and follows a similar format.
Last is his Houko Fukuro bag. Â Written on the back of the bag is: Â 1. An army notebook, a badge, a decoration; 2. The notice document about the rule and education in an army. 3. The notice-to-convene draft document of an army; 4. In addition, things accepted to be required, such as a passbook. Â Translation is not perfect but you get the idea.
Each soldier would receive the Houko Fukuro bag and the active duty ID book.  Finding a matching bag and booklet is very difficult. Finding all three is rare as hen’s teeth.
The booklets were supposed to be turned in for immediate intelligence exploitation.
