This is a very nice printed cotton Japanese army World War II rising sun flag.
Army rising flags have the center of the sun in the center of the flag itself.
Japanese navy flags, on the other hand, have the rising sun offset on the halyard side.
This flag measures approximately 28 x 28“.
It is the perfect size to attach to a rifle or bayonet for a Banzai display.
Both tie strings are present.
