WW2 Japanese Army Enlisted Infantry Individual Rule Promotion and Training Book

This is a direct purchase from the daughter of a WW2 US Army Air Corps Veteran.  She stated “I found it in my dad’s stuff. My dad was a gunner and photographer on a b-17 and a b-24. One of his pictures of the invasion of one of the islands ended up in magazines. He wasn’t given credit but he had the picture with a note on it. He really never wanted to talk about the war but we went to air shows and visited the type of airplane he was in.“

The book is the type issued to all IJA enlisted men upon entry in the Army. The first half are printed rules and regulations.

Following this is data on the soldier including rank, here a private 2nd class, date and place of birth etc.

The rest are entries regarding training and unit assignments.

This one has a great deal of entries as you can see.

The soldiers name, Yasuda Shinichi, is on the exterior and interior.  He was an infantryman according to this book. One of the last visible dates is April 1944.
