This is a well made carry all pack with a wonderful Kanji filled label on the front.
Although it does not follow the octopus style pack, it is a distant cousin, design-wise, to the Navy Landing Force pack.
The white patch says: “Emergency Bag – Sato Tsutsumu (佐藤包武) – Kumamoto Prefecture Yatsushiro District Kagami Town Uchida 97”
Uchida is still part of Kagami Town in what is now Yatsushiro City in southern Japan.
