Here is a time capsule of original documents to a German man born in 1909 who lived in Weisbaden.
There are 30 individual documents and one postcard.
These include papers ranging from his 1923 identification, from the age of about 15, until January 1945, when he was a 36 year old combat veteran.
These documents include a medical record describing surgery and treatment from an ulcer brought on by Army food, his rifle qualification book, identification, party dues book, work authorization etc.
His Wehrpass shows he was first in the Army unit Landesschutenzug 12, in March 1940. Two months later he invaded France (May 1940). He invaded Russia as well (June 1941). Then in May, 1943, he was transferred to into the Luftwaffe. This was likely due to his age and health.
This Wehrpass includes his units, battles, qualification with the K98k Mauser and P08 Luger. He made Corporal on May 24, 1944.
