DD M42 Police with band and partial chinstraps.

The German who owned this obviously was a Party type who refused to remove the swaz.

The stamped codes in the interior rear of  appear to be KI66 with 914, or perhaps 9144, underneath.

All split pins are original to the helmet.

This was a direct purchase from the son of the Combat Engineer who brought it back. He arrived in France in February, 1945 with the 1256th Combat Engineers & participated in the Rhineland Campaign, 8 Feb 1945 to 27 March 1945 and the Central Europe Campaign 22 March to 11 May 1945. He Departed ETO 27 Oct 1945.
