A pretty rare 6 1/2 inch handmade steel punji stake with a wicked barb.

This one is unique in that it is sealed in plastic with identification. It appears to be something done for GIs or Marines who are doing new arrival in-country orientation. Wrapped like it is we suspect it was passed around in a classroom so every GI could see and feel it.

Keep in mind a high percentage of grunts were wounded by boobytrap devices such as this.
