This is a very well used pair of Ho Chi Minh sandals. In fact, the rubber inner tube straps are nearly completely gone in the front and in the back, indicating this pair was worn down the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and or possibly for a few years in the south before being captured..
These were hand made from tires and inner tubes.
This was the standard footwear for the Viet Cong  and the North Vietnamese army.
This pair shows definite wear and obvious use.
