Here is an uncommon Soviet supplied Makarov holster made of imitation leather.

This material is called Kizra by the Soviets. It was perfected in WW2 and is made of cotton, latex and rosin.

The plastic stud closure is marked on the back. This was either made in 1971 or 1982.

Regardless, it has a great look as if it were carried daily through some jungle.

The Makarov was a symbol of high rank in the North Vietnamese Army.

In the Cuban Army, by the 1980s, it was the standard issue sidearm.

There are many Leather Makarov holsters out there but very few imitation leather types, especially well used like this one.
