Pre WW2 Japanese Early Arisaka Ammunition Pouches

This is a beautiful set of pre World War II Japanese Arisaka ammunition pouches.

These ammunition pouches have the longer 312 mm top strap which were manufactured until 1934.

They also have early aluminum studs.

The earlier hot iron markings underneath the flap are the same.

The rear pouch has the oil bottle straps on one side, but more importantly, it has the takedown tool pouch on the opposite side. This one also has early markings underneath the flap.

As as most experienced collectors will tell you, finding a pair of Japanese or German pouches that appear to be matching for your display is extremely difficult these days.

Many collectors are forced to buy one pouch at a time and are continuously trading up until they end up with a matching pair.  It is a very expensive and time-consuming endeavor.

Here the work is done for you. You will save a great deal of time and money by buying a matching pair versus continually buying, selling or trading a pouch that doesn’t quite match for your display.

Each front pouch holds 30 rounds of either 6.5 mm or 7.7 mm Japanese ammunition.
