This is a first for us but definitely fits in the Enemy Militaria mode.

This is a lot of captured Mexican field gear from the 1870 to about 1890.

The lot consists of the following:

Mexican hand made leather rifle belt;

Captured US Cartridge Belt with Mexican made shoulder strap and Mexican reloaded Winchester 45-70 bullets;

Mexican made leather bullet mold pouch with belt loops  with Winchester made bullet mold;

Mexican made Bolo Knife with horn handle and Mexican made wooden scabbard with lanyard hole in the rear, with the name Captain Herbert Long penciled on the rear;

Mexican made leather Wine flask with shoulder strap which has crystalized wine still inside;

Mexican made powder horn.

Beside some old Mexican clothing, these are the field gear items necessary for a Mexican irregular to wage war along the border before the turn of the century .
