The CPV used many types of light machine guns in the Korean War including the Chinese made ZB-26, the BAR and the BREN Gun. The later guns were lend lease from WWII, captured or surrendered by the Chinese Nationalists and sent to Korea.
They employed a variety of canvas, leather and canvas and leather magazine pouches to carry spare magazines. Because of the weight of the loaded magazines they were chest worn with shoulder straps and waist belts.
