Chinese Korean War Winter Boots

During the Korean War, the Chinese issued canvas and rubber boots which had cotton batting between the layers for insulation.  They came in khaki brown and black.

There are many photographs of CPV soldier and even some of US POWs wearing these black boots in the winter.

Fortunately, the Chinese used cured rubber and these have not dried out .  The rubber is supple.  There are only a handful of these known in the U.S.
