A unique canteen of the type made for export to Hanoi in the 1960s but without the star or squiggles.
The cap is the same pattern as the standard NVA plastic canteen but it is tied to a loop on the body with thin, black, web tape
This pattern, canteen in skeletal web harness, is also used by North Korea.
The HBT cotton webbing and the stamped hardware are lightweight compared to standard ChiCom.
The harness is of the same pattern as standard 1960s ChiCom and North Korean canteens.
The front of the canteen is convex and the back is flat following standard ChiCom and North Korean practice.
We are not sure if this is a ChiCom production variant plastic canteen or a North Korean made canteen.
