One of our overseas sources just located this extremely rare, unicorn, holster rig for the Chinese Communist Type 64 and Type 67 silenced assassin’s pistol.
This holster was undoubtedly made at the same factory that made the majority of the Chinese Tokerev holsters. However, the extended length is made exclusively for the silenced pistol.
In addition, the spare magazine pouch is longer and more narrow yet similar to the Chinese Type 59 Makarov magazine pouch. This change is because this pistol is chambered in 7.65mm or 32 caliber, not 9 mm Makarov.
This lot includes the shoulder strap and lanyard shown. The shoulder strap and lanyard were stored inside the holster and have never been attached.
This is an extremely rare pistol in that only 200 of these were ever made.
A Type 67 is hanging in the war museum in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is identified as having been used by a particular North Vietnamese Reconnaissance soldier as shown in their description:
SUNG NGẮN (GIẢM THANH)
Đồng chi Lương Thọ, Trinh sát vũ trang Ban An ninh tỉnh Long Khánh sử dụng thời kỳ kháng chiến chống Mỹ.
PISTOLS (silencers)
Used by Comrade Luong Tho, Armed Reconnarssance of Long Khanh Province Security Board in the anti-American resistance period.
A Type 64 is in another Museum in Vietnam. It too is identified as having been used by a particular North Vietnamese. The display says:
SÚNG HÃM THANH KIỂU 64
Liêt sĩ Trần Trưng – Đại đội trương Đại dội 2 Anh hùng da sử dung trong nai tran dánh lớn dơti nhiều len dich (1968 – 1969)
A SHORT GUN OF THE TYPE 64 SILENCED GUN
Mr. Tran Trung – chief commander or company of Company No 2 had used it for killing many enemys in two great battlefields (1968 – 1969).
As you are likely aware, the United States military also had a .22 cal. silenced pistol in Vietnam. In a prisoner snatch ambush, the prospective capture would be silently shot in the back of the thigh. When he fell down, Claymore mines placed up in the trees would be detonated. Ideally, the blast would decapitate everyone who is standing up in the kill zone. If done right, you would have a prisoner, willing to talk , having just survived a traumatic Claymore mine ambush. You would tie his hands, stop the bleeding, throw him over your shoulder and exfiltrate by helicopter.
As you can see, everything is new old stock condition showing only storage wear.
Available to ship around December 22.
This is the holster rig only.
