This is the Type 43 (Soviet PPS 43) magazine pouch made by the Chinese Communists. This one is dated 1957. It holds three magazines, an oil/solvent bottle and spare ammunition in the lower left pocket.

The type 43 was used extensively by the Viet Minh, the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army.
