The hardwood handle is solid, uncracked, unmarked and tight. The markings are clear.

These were also issued to the North Koreans between 1945 and 1950 when the Soviets occupied North Korea. During this time, the Soviets equipped and trained the Korean People’s Army, which eventually invaded South Korea in September 1950.
