Here is a very rare 1964 dated ChiCom made chestpouch to carry ammunition for the 7.62x54r Chinese Type 53 carbine.

These were made with either tie ties on the front prior to 1961 and with toggle buttons after 1961.

The Type 53 carbine was a mainstay in the NVA before the SKS and AK showed up but remained a front line weapon with the VC through out the war. Very few Type 53 ammo pouches of this type were brought back.

This pouch would look great on a set of black PJs.

This toggle button pouch is much rarer than those with tie-ties.
