This is the standard issue NVA mess kit. They are a scaled down copy of the French aluminum mess kit. The NVA version was made using some green alloy or color as they all have it. No maker marks but some NVA initials at the bottom. These fit perfectly in the center pocket of the NVA rucksack for easy access when the end of the day hunger strikes.
