This is an original, unpublished, photograph of a WWII Japanese Soldier from the 19th Regiment and a sake cup from the same Regiment.

The 19th Regiment was assigned to the 9th IJA Division and fought in Manchuria and also took part in the Shanghai massacre. After that they returned to Japan. From there they moved to Shuri, Okinawa but were moved to Taiwan before the invasion.

Quite a nice matching lot.
