Phu Bai made/sold South Vietnamese Pistol Holster for US 1911A1

This is a rare ARVN holster for a US 1911A1.  The magazine pouch also fits a spare 1911 magazine.  This holster would have been worn by both US and ARVN forces and features the original maker/dealer marking from Phu-Bai, Vietnam.  Also, an unusual green web leg strap like someone like John Wayne might have used.  Obviously, the pistol shown is not included with the holster and is not for sale.  It is shown only to illustrate the fit of pistol and magazine.

By the way, this very pistol was actually carried in Vietnam by a veteran when he was wounded in the left ankle and left hip by a North Vietnamese soldier carrying an M16.  The vet was able to overcome the enemy and gave this pistol to his buddy before he was Medivaced.  The wounded soldier spent fourteen month in Bethesda Naval Hospital and later the Presidio in San Francisco recovering from his bullet wounds.  The buddy later rotated back to the US and shipped the pistol back to the wounded man while he was still in the hospital.

It is leather and is well marked.
